Tea museum

The museum is situated in a scenic location on Pooyankuty Road on the outskirts of Munnar town. At a distance of 3.5 km from Munnar Bus Station, Tea Museum is a wonderful place to visit in Munnar town. You will get to see the equipment used in tea processing. The museum is owned by Kannan Devan Hills Plantations Limited owned by Tata Group. Visit Tea Museum is one of the top things to do in Munnar.

Kundala Lake

Kundala Lake is a picturesque lake situated on the way to Top Station from Munnar. Boating in the Kashmiri boats is a wonderful experience. This lake is surrounded by tea valleys and while visiting Kunadala Lake, don’t forget to visit the Echo point. The natural echo phenomenon is really surprising here and that’s why this place got its name. It is also a good choice for trekkers.

Mattupetty Dam

Situated on the top station road, this place is 10 K.M. away from the Munnar bus station. Surrounded by hills, and tea plantation both the Mattupetty dam and lake have wonderful scenic beauty. Don’t miss the boat ride in the lake.

Top Station

Top Station is almost 32 K.M. away from the Munnar Bus station. You can visit this place on the second day of your Munnar trip along with Mattupetty Dam. This place is breathtakingly beautiful. Here you can get a 360-degree view of the Western Ghats. If the sky is clear you can also get to see the highest altitude of Munnar.

Rajamali

At a distance of 16 K.M. from Munnar Bus station, this place is situated inside the Eravikulam National Park on the Munnar-Udumalpet road. This park was established to protect the Nilgiri Tahr. Nilgiri Tahr is a special type of goat which was on extinction. The park remains closed from 1st February to 31st March, so avoid this time if you want to visit the park and enjoy the natural beauty.
