Day 1: Arrival Port Blair

Commence your Andaman tour by departing from Chennai Airport. Upon your morning or afternoon arrival in Port Blair, a dedicated representative will meet you at the arrivals hall displaying a sign with your name. Typically, flights from Chennai arrive between 07:00 and 15:20. Following your arrival, you will be escorted to your hotel to rest and refresh. After lunch, we will begin our excursion to the renowned Cellular Jail. We recommend hiring a local guide at a nominal cost to gain a deeper understanding of the site's historical significance as you relive the island’s poignant past. Afterward, you will attend the fascinating Sound and Light Show at the Cellular Jail, which brings the heroic saga of the Indian freedom struggle to life, before being escorted back to your hotel.

Day 2: Port Blair – Havelock Island

Following a hearty breakfast, we will depart for Havelock Island, widely considered the premier island destination in India. Travel from Port Blair to Havelock via a high-speed cruise, where you will be greeted upon arrival and escorted to your beachfront resort. Rover Holidays exclusively selects premium beachside accommodations to ensure a memorable experience. After lunch, we will embark on an excursion to Radhanagar Beach, consistently ranked among the finest beaches in Asia. Spend the afternoon exploring this pristine white-sand sanctuary before witnessing a breathtaking sunset—a spectacular natural display that is truly unique. Following the excursion, you will be returned to your resort to enjoy a relaxing evening at your leisure.

Day 3: Havelock Island

Today is yours to spend at leisure or by exploring the island at your own pace; rental scooters are available for your convenience. Optional Activity: Excursion to Elephant Beach (INR 1,200 per person, with an additional vehicle transfer charge of INR 400 each way). Following breakfast, you may choose to embark on a shared fiber boat trip to Elephant Beach. During this excursion, you have the opportunity to enjoy a snorkelling session (subject to weather conditions and government permits), which is ideal for beginners due to the calm, shallow waters. Alternatively, the beach offers a picturesque setting for relaxation, featuring pristine white sands and stunning natural scenery that provides a perfect backdrop for photography. You will spend the night at your resort on Havelock Island.

Day 4: Havelock Island - Port Blair

Following breakfast, proceed to the Neil Island Pier to board your one-hour cruise to Port Blair. Upon arrival at the port, you will be transferred to your hotel. Later in the day, enjoy a half-day sightseeing tour of Port Blair, including visits to the Anthropological Museum, the Fisheries Museum, the Samudrika Naval Marine Museum, and the picturesque Corbyn's Cove Beach, which is ideal for swimming and sunbathing. You will spend the night at your hotel or resort in Port Blair.

Day 5: Baratang Excursion

Depart for Baratang Island, traveling by road through dense tropical forests and the Jarawa Tribal Reserve as part of a convoy. While traversing the forest reserve, there is a possibility of spotting members of the local Jarawa tribe. Upon reaching the edge of the forest, you will arrive at Baratang. From there, a boat service will transport you across the bay, navigating a scenic route through mangrove-lined waterways before reaching the starting point for the trek to the limestone caves. You will then hike through the forest to reach these natural rock formations, which are composed of mineral spar (calcium carbonate) and feature stunning stalactite and stalagmite displays. Following your exploration, you will return to Port Blair via the same route. Note: A private, air-conditioned vehicle is provided for this excursion. Please be advised that the trip cost can be reduced if you choose to travel in a shared vehicle, and that Baratang Island remains closed on Mondays.

Day 6: Ross Island – North Bay

Travel back in time to visit Ross Island, the first British administrative headquarters in the Andaman Islands, once referred to as the Paris of the East. Today, the island features fascinating ruins that reflect the grandeur of the British colonial era. Following this visit, you will embark on a boat journey to the nearby coral island of North Bay. Renowned for its vibrant marine life, this destination is a highlight of any Andaman trip. Guests may participate in activities such as scuba diving, underwater sea walking, snorkeling, and glass-bottom boat rides; a complimentary glass-bottom boat ride is included in your visit. We will conclude the day by returning to Port Blair for a relaxing evening. Please note that Ross Island is closed on Wednesdays.

Day 7: Departure

Today marks the conclusion of your Andaman tour from Chennai. We will provide a transfer to the airport for your onward journey. We trust that you have thoroughly enjoyed your stay in the islands and will carry home fond memories of this fascinating tour.
