Internet and mobile network connections in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands are generally weak, especially when you go to other islands outside Port Blair. Because of this, you cannot rely on GPS mapping and other services like finding where to eat places in Andaman or vegetarian restaurants in Andaman. At such times, having a local coordinator and a dedicated driver makes travel much easier, as they know the routes, tourist spots, and local arrangements well. This means you won’t have to worry about getting lost, searching for taxis, or dealing with network issues. You will have a smooth and stress-free trip around the islands.
The cost of an Andaman & Nicobar Islands tour package varies depending on factors such as trip duration, destinations covered, hotel category, travel season, and whether flights are included. Our tour packages are designed to suit every type of traveler, from budget-friendly options to luxury experiences. Most popular itineraries cover key destinations like Port Blair, Havelock Island, and Neil Island over a period of about 5–6 days. The packages are available on either a per-person basis or tailored for couples.
The ideal duration for an Andaman and Nicobar tour depends on the traveler’s preference for what they want to cover. For a romantic escape or honeymoon tour, a 5-night/6-day tour package is recommended. The timeframe allows you to visit all the key destinations and spend time at leisure.
However, for a budget-friendly family holiday, a 3-night/4-day tour package is recommended. During the tour, you will cover all the major destinations, such as Port Blair and Havelock Island.
If you plan your trip for 5 days in Andaman, you can explore the top attractions, such as visiting the historical site of Cellular Jail, enjoying the mesmerizing view at Radhanagar Beach on Havelock Island (aka Swaraj Dweep), and enjoying thrilling activities at Elephant Beach. If you want to extend your trip to almost 7 days, you can explore Neil Island. Here you enjoy water sports, such as snorkeling, scuba diving, and much more, making Neil Island a perfect destination for people planning their family trip.
Travelers can also extend their tour duration and enjoy additional islands to experience the natural beauty of this tropical paradise and its serene marine life. Share your requirements with us and plan a customized Andaman travel package.
The Andaman and Nicobar Islands are one of the top holiday and beach tour destinations in India. Thousands of tourists visit the Andaman throughout the year. Being a year-round tourist destination, you can pick any season to plan your holiday. But the best time to visit the Andaman is between October and March.
October to March is the peak season for the Andaman tour. During this time, the sea remains calm, the weather is pleasant, and all the water sports and ferry services are fully operational, making it an ideal time to explore this exotic destination. It is even the best time for newlyweds to plan their honeymoon tour.
April to May is the shoulder season, the best time for people seeking secluded places or destinations with fewer crowds. Although slightly warmer, the season offers excellent visibility underwater during scuba diving and snorkeling. It is even ideal for budget-conscious travelers to plan their trip.
June to September is the monsoon season, when almost all the water sports activities and even inter-island ferry services remain suspended. The season brings heavy rainfall and rough seas, making it unsafe to plan an Andaman tour with kids. However, this is also the cheapest time to visit Andaman. Even Andaman travel agents reduce cost or offer discounts on the popular Andaman holiday packages.
Nestled in the Bay of Bengal, the Andaman and Nicobar Islands are an archipelago of 836 islands, known for their lush greenery, rich marine life, biodiversity, and golden and white-pearl sandy beaches with crystal clear water.
While tourists are allowed to explore the Andaman Islands, access to the Nicobar Islands is largely restricted. The region protects the indigenous Tribal communities. Therefore, they are not open to general tourists. Most areas are permitted only for government officials or individuals with special authorization. As a result, standard travel packages' itineraries include only the accessible and famous destinations of the Andaman Islands.
The Andaman and Nicobar Islands are famous for their pristine beaches, coral reefs, lush tropical forests, rich marine life, and history. Here are the top places to visit in Andaman:
Port Blair is the largest and capital city of the Andaman Islands. Steeped in history and culture, Port Blair offers a glimpse of the colonial past and indigenous heritage. From the historical sites to the local cuisine, it provides tourists with an enriching experience that is a unique blend of traditions and history. Landing in Port Blair from your city, it serves as the base camp for your stay in the Andaman.
From historic sites to architectural marvels, there is a lot to explore in Port Blair, but the one that tops every tour package itinerary is the Cellular Jail, which is historically known as ‘Kala Pani’. This jail was built by the British in ten years to exile the Indian freedom fighters. It is open to tourists, who can see exhibits and other things that reflect the misery and pain of the freedom fighters.
Apart from this, you can explore Samudrika Marine Museum, Corbyn’s Cove Beach, Ross Island, and watch the sunset at Chidya Tapu.
One of the most popular tourist destinations in the Andaman Islands is Havelock Island, famed for its azure waters, sun-kissed beaches, and thrilling water sports. Tourists visiting here often visit the mesmerizing Radhanagar Beach, which is often listed among Asia’s best beaches. It even secures its place in the popular Indian beach tour packages.
Havelock Island, also known as Swaraj Dweep, makes its place straight in the popular Andaman honeymoon tour packages, making it an ideal romantic escape for honeymooners and couples. And, it is also the best spot for scuba diving and snorkeling.
The top places to visit in Swaraj Dweep, or Havelock Island, are:
Also known as Shaheed Dweep, Neil Island is a serene tourist destination in the Andaman, known for its relaxed vibe, pristine beaches, vibrant coral reefs, and stunning landscapes. Whether a family, a couple, or a group of friends, Neil Island has something to offer everyone, including top activities such as snorkeling, scuba diving, jet skiing, and boat rides, primarily at Bharatpur Beach.
Most popular 5-7 days Andaman holiday tour package itineraries include Neil Island, where you explore:
Located near Port Blair, accessible easily by a 30–40-minute boat ride, North Bay Island is a perfect destination for a day-trip in the Andaman. This is a top destination for families planning a short trip, often included in 3-night/4-day Andaman family tour packages. It is an uninhabited island with vibrant coral reefs and diverse water sports. One of the most enchanting facts of this island is that it features the iconic lighthouse seen on the Twenty Rupee note.
This place is ideal for romantic couples seeking a secluded getaway and adventure enthusiasts looking to indulge in top activities, such as snorkeling, scuba diving, banana boat rides, and sea walking.
Located approximately 110 km from the capital city of Port Blair, Baratang Island is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Andaman Islands. Most tourists include this in their Andaman travel itinerary because it is famous for its unique natural attractions, including the Baratang Limestone Caves and mangrove creeks. It shows you the greener version of the Andamans. The major attractions of Baratang are the Mud Volcano and Limestone Caves.
Together, all these top destinations offer a perfect blend of nature, history, beaches, and water sports, making the Andaman and Nicobar Islands the ideal holiday destination in India for families, couples, and friends.
The primary gateway to the Andaman Islands, recently renamed as Sri Vijaya Puram, is Port Blair, which is also the capital city of the union territory. There are only two ways to reach the Andaman: by air or by sea, since there is no direct road or rail connectivity from India. So, let’s see how you can get here via sea or air.
Flying to Port Blair is the fastest way to reach the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Tourists take a flight to reach the Veer Savarkar International Airport in Port Blair. You get direct flights from the major cities, like Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, New Delhi, and Mumbai. It takes around 2-2.5 hours to reach Port Blair if you board a direct flight.
You can board a passenger ship from Kolkata, Visakhapatnam, and Chennai. The journey typically takes 3-4 days to reach Port Blair. Also, the ships are operational only a few days a month. While it is economical, it is slow and less preferred by tourists. To book a ticket, you should either use the online government portal or visit a shipping office.
After reaching Port Blair, you can use ferry services to reach the other parts of the Andamans, such as Havelock Island and Neil Island.
Well, you need not worry about getting around in the region, because most tour packages include ferry tickets or other conveyance to make the journey between these islands smooth and convenient.
