Welcome to God's Own Country. Upon your arrival from Hyderabad, our representative will greet you at Cochin Airport before proceeding to Munnar, the gateway to the hills of South India. This charming town in the Western Ghats is renowned for its picturesque landscapes, mist-shrouded mountains, sprawling tea gardens, and wildlife sanctuaries. Given its temperate climate, Munnar has become one of the most sought-after travel destinations in India. En route, you will have the opportunity to view the scenic Cheeyappara and Valara waterfalls before arriving at your hotel for check-in. After freshening up, you may spend the remainder of the day relaxing or exploring the surrounding natural beauty. Your overnight stay will be in Munnar.
Following breakfast, embark on a morning sightseeing tour of Munnar, beginning with a visit to the Mattupetty Dam, which offers spectacular views and serene surroundings. The nearby Shola forests provide an excellent setting for hiking and birdwatching, showcasing a diverse avian population. Continue your journey to Kundala, a picturesque town situated at the confluence of the Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni, and Kundala mountain streams. Later, proceed to Top Station, located approximately 32 km from Munnar on the Munnar-Kodaikanal road. As the highest point in the region and situated on the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border, it offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Western Ghats and the Theni district valley. You will spend the night in Munnar.
Following breakfast, proceed to Rajamalai, a vital section of Eravikulam National Park and the natural habitat of the critically endangered Nilgiri Tahr. This region supports approximately 50% of the global Nilgiri Tahr population. Afterward, continue to the Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary, a protected area situated in the rain shadow region of the eastern slopes of the Western Ghats, bordering Tamil Nadu. Chinnar is renowned as a sanctuary for the rare Giant Grizzled Squirrel, and the nearby sandalwood forests provide an additional point of interest. Return to Munnar in the evening for your overnight stay.
