Day 1: Arrival in Chennai

Receive a warm welcome upon arrival at Chennai International Airport in Chennai, the capital city of Tamil Nadu state, by Rover Holidays representative. Get assisted transferred to the pre-booked hotel in Chennai by our representative. Freshen up and relax. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 2: Chennai

Take breakfast at hotel. Proceed for Chennai sightseeing. Major attraction includes Kapaleeshwarar Temple, Parthasarathy Temple, Victoria Public Hall, Chennai Egmore, Ripon Building, Government Museum, National Museum, National Art Gallery, Fort St George, and the Marina Beach. On time get back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Chennai - Kanchipuram - Mahabalipuram

Check out from the hotel in Chennai after breakfast. Leave for Kanchipuram by road and visit their various temples which amaze you with mesmerizing fusion of culture and architecture. Major attractions at Kanchi includes Varadharaja Perumal Temple, Muktheeswarar Temple, Kumarakottam Temple, Kamakshi Amman Temple, Ekambareswarar Temple, Thiru Parameswara Vinnagaram (also called Vaikunta Perumal Temple), and Thiruparthikundram Jain Temple. Shop for famous Kanchipuram silk sarees, if you wish. Later continue your drive to Mahabalipuram. On reach Mahabalipuram check in at the pre-booked hotel. Freshen up and relax. Spend remaining time at leisure. Have dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Mahabalipuram

Take your breakfast and proceed Mahabalipuram sightseeing. Explore the Group of Monuments at Mahabalipuram, which has been declared as UNESCO World Heritage Site. The beautiful beach and historic town of Mahabalipuram is best known for rock-cut temples and sanctuaries. Proceed to explore the group of monuments. Major attractions include Shore Temple, Rathas (the temples in form of chariots), Tiger Cave Temple, Krishna Cave Temple, Varaha Cave Temple, and Panchapandava Cave Temple, Descent of the Ganges (Arjuna's Penance). Spend remaining day relaxing at the beach. On time get back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Mahabalipuram - Pondicherry

Take breakfast at the hotel and then leave of Pondicherry. Check in at the pre-booked hotel on reaching there. Spend rest of the day at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 6: Pondicherry

After breakfast proceed for Pondicherry sightseeing. Major attractions include Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Auroville, French War Memorial, and several other attractions of the city. In the evening you many go to visit the beach and relax there. On time get back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Pondicherry - Thanjavur (Tanjore)

Take a very hearty breakfast at the hotel. And then drive to Thanjavur en route visiting Chidambaram Temple. On reaching Tanjore check in at the hotel, relax, and then proceed for sightseeing visiting the Great Living Chola Temples, which are UNESCO World Heritage Monuments. Major attractions including Brihadeeswara Temple, Rajarajan Manimandapam (Bell Tower), and Thanjavur Maratha Palace. On time get back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8: Thanjavur (Tanjore) - Trichy (Tiruchirappalli)

Take a very delicious and delightful breakfast at the hotel. Later leave for Trichy, also called Tiruchirappalli. Check in at the hotel upon arrival. Spend the day at leisure. You can explore nearby and surrounding attractions on your own. You may enjoy shopping at local bazaars if you wish. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 9: Trichy (Tiruchirappalli)

Take breakfast at the hotel and then embark on full day sightseeing tour of Trichy. Major attractions include Jambukeswarar Temple, Rockfort Temple Complex, Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple, Our Lady of Lourdes Church, etc. Spend rest of the day at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 10: Trichy - Madurai

Check out from the hotel in Trichy after having breakfast and then leave for Madurai. Check in at the pre-booked hotel on reaching Madurai. Spend rest of the day at leisure. In the evening attend the grand Aarti Ceremony held at the famous Meenakshi Amman Temple. Get back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 11: Madurai

Have a very hearty breakfast at the hotel and then embark on sightseeing tour of Madurai. Major attractions include Meenakshi Amman Temple, Thirumalai Nayakkar Palace, Koodal Azhagar Vishnu Temple, Pazhamudircholai Murugan Temple, Kazimar Big Mosque, Goripalayam Mosque, Tirupparankunram Dargah, St Mary’s Cathedral Church, and Gandhi Memorial Museum. On time get back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 12: Madurai - Rameshwaram - Madurai

Take a very hearty breakfast at the hotel. Then drive to holy town of Rameshwaram. Visit the famous Ramanathaswamy Temple, also called Rameshwaram Temple, dedicated to Hindu God Shiva. There after visit the Rameshwaram Beach and see some other attractions. On time get back to the hotel in Madurai for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 13: Madurai - Chennai

Take a delicious and delightful breakfast at the hotel. Get transferred to Madurai Railway Station to board train for Chennai. On reaching Chennai, get transferred to the pre-booked hotel. Spend rest of the day at leisure relaxing at your hotel and enjoying facilities available at the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 14: Departure from Chennai

Have a leisurely breakfast at the hotel. Pack your bag and wrap the memories of Tamil Nadu heritage tour. On time get transferred to Chennai International Airport by Rover Holidays representative. Board flight back to your home/onward destination. The tour concludes.
