Day 1: Arrival in Chennai

Upon arrival at Chennai International Airport in Chennai, the capital city of Indian state of Tamil Nadu, Rover Holidays representative will receive you with warm welcome and transfer you to the pre-booked hotel. Freshen up and relax. Later proceed for sightseeing covering Kapaleeshwarar Temple, Parthasarathy Temple, St Thomas Mount, Santhome Basillica, St Mary’s Church, Thousands Light Mosque, Fort St George, Ripon Building, Victoria Public Hall, and many more. In the evening visit the Marina Beach, the second largest urban beach in the world. There are several historical memorials and monuments at and around the beach. Relax and spend some time at the beach. See spectacular sunset view. On time get back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Chennai - Kanchipuram - Mahabalipuram

Check out from the hotel in Chennai after having breakfast. Later drive to Kanchipuram for sightseeing. Major attractions at Kanchipuram are various beautiful monuments and temples like Kailasanathar Temple, Kamakshi Amman Temple, Kumarakottam Temple, Varadharaja Perumal Temple, and Ekambareswarar Temple. Kanchipuram in Tamil Nadu is also known for silk clothes and hand woven silk sarees. Later, drive to Mahabalipuram, a historical town of Tamil Nadu state, famed for rock-cut shore temples, cave sanctuaries, Rathas (temples in form of chariots) and beautiful beach. On arrival at Mahabalipuram check in at the pre-booked hotel, and then leave for sightseeing in Mahabalipuram. Visit Shore Temple, Rathas and other architectural structures. Spend evening at the beach watching the spectacular view of sunset over the sea. On time get back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Mahabalipuram - Pondicherry

Check out from the hotel in Mahabalipuram after having breakfast and then drive to Pondicherry, a Union Territory of India. Upon arrival at Pondicherry, get transferred to the pre-booked hotel. Freshen up and relax. Later proceed for sightseeing in Pondicherry covering Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Auroville, Matrimandir, and French War Memorial. On time get back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Pondicherry - Swamimalai

Have a leisurely breakfast at the hotel. Later check out and drive to Swamimalai, a historic town in Thanjavur district of Tamil Nadu state. En route visit Chidambaram Temple and Gangaikonda Cholapuram Temple. On reaching Swamimalai, get transferred to the pre-booked hotel. After some rest and relax, visit the famous Swamimalai Swaminathaswamy Temple, dedicated to God Murugan (Kartikeya), the son of Lord Shiva & Goddess Parvati, and brother of Lord Ganesha.

Day 5: Swamimalai - Tanjore

Check out from the hotel in Swamimalai after breakfast and then drive to Thanjavur, also called Tanjore. Tanjore is a historic city in the state of Tamil Nadu, and it is best known for the Great Living Chola Temples, UNESCO World Heritage Monuments, located in and around the city. On reaching Tanjore check in at the pre-booked hotel. Freshen up and relax. Later proceed for sightseeing covering Brihadeeswara Temple, Thanjavur Royal Palace Complex, and Saraswathi Mahal Library. Get back to the hotel on time for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Tanjore - Madurai

Take a very hearty breakfast at the hotel, and then drive to Madurai, a holy city in Tamil Nadu, famous for very stunning and architecturally beautiful Meenakshi Amman Temple dedicated to Goddess Meenakshi (incarnation of Goddess Parvati) and his consort Sundareswarar (incarnation of Lord Shiva). On arrival at Madurai, check in at the pre-booked hotel. Freshen up and relax. Later proceed for sightseeing covering Meenakshi Amman Temple and Thirumalai Nayakkar Palace. Attend the grand Arati Ceremony held at the Meenakshi Amman Temple in the evening. Get back to the hotel on time for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Departure from Madurai
