Upon arrival at Calicut International Airport, you will be greeted by our representative and escorted to your vehicle to begin your Kerala vacation. Proceed to Wayanad to check in at your hotel, where you may take time to relax and settle in. Later, visit Chembra Peak to enjoy panoramic views that offer both rejuvenation and an exhilarating experience. The remainder of the day is yours to enjoy at your leisure. You will stay overnight in Wayanad.
After enjoying a sumptuous breakfast, immerse yourself in the lush greenery and cascading waterfalls of Wayanad. The highlight of the day is Pookot Lake, where you may enjoy a scenic boat ride amidst tall trees and dense forests that offer a truly picturesque environment. The Soojipara Falls, known for their stunning landscapes and natural resources, provide excellent opportunities for adventure tourism. You will also have the opportunity to cruise across the second-largest earthen dam in Asia via speedboat. A visit to the historic Edakkal Caves reveals ancient wall carvings that have long fascinated archaeologists and historians worldwide. Other notable attractions include Pakshipathalam and Meenmutty Waterfall. You will spend the night in Wayanad.
Following a delightful breakfast, proceed with your sightseeing tour of Calicut, the traditional capital of northern Kerala. Upon arrival, check into your hotel to freshen up and relax. Later, continue your exploration of the city, including Dolphin’s Point, an ideal location to observe dolphins in their natural habitat. Your itinerary also features visits to Calicut Beach, the historic Thali Temple, and Kappad Beach, the renowned landing site of Vasco da Gama in 1498. You will conclude the day with an overnight stay in Calicut.
Following breakfast, depart for Kochi, renowned as the Queen of the Arabian Sea. Upon arrival in Cochin, proceed to your hotel for check-in. Key local attractions include St. Francis Church, the Chinese Fishing Nets, St. Croix Basilica, the Jewish Synagogue, Jew Town, and the Mattancherry Palace/Dutch Palace. You will spend the night in Cochin. Please note that the Jewish Synagogue and the Dutch Palace are closed on Fridays and Saturdays.
Following a leisurely breakfast, proceed to Munnar, an idyllic destination often celebrated for its romantic appeal. As the gateway to the hills of Southern India, this charming town in the Western Ghats is renowned for its picturesque villages, mist-shrouded hills, expansive tea plantations, and nature reserves. Its exceptional climate continues to establish Munnar as one of the most sought-after destinations in India. En route, you will have the opportunity to visit the stunning Cheeyappara and Valara waterfalls. Upon arrival, complete your hotel check-in and enjoy time to refresh and unwind. Following breakfast, continue your guided tour of Munnar with a visit to Eravikulam National Park, the natural habitat of the endangered Nilgiri Tahr. Proceed to the Mattupetty and Kundala Dams, where you may enjoy a scenic boat ride on the reservoir, framed by lush tea gardens and sprawling grasslands. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and enjoy time to refresh and unwind. Later, visit Periyar National Park, the highlight of the region, where you can enjoy a scenic cruise on Periyar Lake to observe the local wildlife. Before concluding the day, we recommend visiting the local spice market to purchase authentic spices and handicrafts. You will spend the night in Thekkady.
Departing early in the morning, we will travel to Gavi, a premier ecotourism destination in Kerala famously recognized by Alistair International as one of India's must-see attractions. Upon arrival, you will check in and enjoy a guided tour of the local plantations to fully experience the region's natural splendor. Following a vegetarian lunch, you will enjoy a tranquil rowboat excursion to the cardamom plantations, followed by a visit to the healing house. The itinerary continues to the Sabarimala Viewpoint, offering breathtaking vistas of the Sabarimala Mountains and the sacred pilgrimage site, followed by a visit to the museum featuring a collection of preserved animal specimens. After enjoying afternoon tea, you will return to your hotel in Thekkady for an overnight stay. Please note that the Gavi excursion is an optional activity subject to additional costs, and rates are equivalent to off-road vehicle excursions.
Following a leisurely breakfast, you will proceed to the Kumarakom Backwaters. Upon arrival, you will check into your hotel to refresh and unwind. Kumarakom is renowned for the majestic Vembanad Lake, where an intricate network of canals, streams, and distributaries creates a tranquil environment. This destination is an ideal retreat for those seeking relaxation or a peaceful atmosphere to enjoy a good book. You will spend the night in the Kumarakom Backwaters.
Following breakfast, you will proceed to the Alleppey Backwaters for an immersive tour. You will experience a private, locally designed houseboat equipped with a spacious, fully furnished bathroom, a hygienic kitchen, a dining area, and a private deck from which to admire the serene beauty of the backwaters. As you cruise through narrow, palm-lined canals, you will have the opportunity to observe the unique lifestyle of the region. The warmth of the local people and the tranquil natural surroundings are sure to leave an indelible impression. You will spend the night aboard the houseboat.
Following breakfast, your Kerala vacation concludes. Please prepare for your departure as you reflect on your memorable experiences. You will be transferred to Cochin International Airport in time for your return flight.
