ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival at Leh
Upon Arrival at Kushok Bakula Airport Leh - 3500m above sea level. Meet and greet and Get onboard the waiting vehicle to transfer to the hotel. Check-in at the hotel. Today the complete day is for rest and leisure to get you acclimatized. In the evening visit Leh Market & Shanti Stupa. Dinner and overnight stay at the Hotel.

Day 2: Leh - Nubra Valley (160kms-4.5hrs)
After an early breakfast we drive to NUBRA VALLEY, through KHARDUNG-LA the highest motorable road in the world at 18,390 ft, around 39kms from Leh. Nubra Valley is popularly known as Ldorma or the valley of flowers and situated between North of Ladakh between the Karakoram and Ladakh range of Himalayas.
In the afternoon visit Hunder Monastery at Hunder village. Hunder is lying close to the border between India and Pakistan in the north-western part of Ladakh. You can visit the SAND DUNES and also enjoy a camel safari (Optional on direct payment basis). Overnight stay at Nubra.

Day 3: Nubra Valley - Leh (160kms-5hrs)
After breakfast at the camp, visit Diskit Monastery en route to Leh. There are a number of shrines inside the monastery's complex, like Kangyu-lang, Tsangyu-lang, etc. Diskit Gompa has quite an interesting legend attached to it. It is believed that a Mongol demon once lived here and was considered to be a sworn enemy of Buddhism. Afternoon rest and relax or take a walk to the local market. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 4: Leh - Pangong Lake  via Shey & Thiksey (225kms-6.5hrs)
After an early breakfast, leave for the mesmeric Pangong Tso en route visiting Shey & Thiksey. The Palace and Monastery of Shey, an impressive complex on a hill, was constructed on the orders of King Deldan Namgyal in 1655 AD. It houses one of the largest golden Buddha statues in the country. After the visit, continue towards Pangong, passing through Changla pass, which is around 5360 metres above sea level. Pangong Lake, situated at 4267 metres above sea level, is famed for its serenity. Pangong Lake is a long narrow basin of inland drainage the highest salt water Lake in the world, shared by two countries India & China. Though open to tourists, the lake and its surrounding are under army surveillance. Evening at leisure. After dinner, overnight stay near Pangong Lake.

Day 5: Pangong Lake – Leh via Hemis (225kms-6.5hrs)
Post breakfast, you are free to explore, and capture the beauty of the lake in your cameras. Drive back to Leh, enroute visiting Hemis Gompa – the largest monastic foundation of Drukpa Kagyu Order of Tibetan Buddhism. As soon as you reach Leh, check-in at the hotel and take some rest. After dinner, retire to your hotel room.

Day 6: Leh - Alchi (160kms-5hrs)
After breakfast, today we will drive towards Kargil road and start your sightseeing with Hall of Fame near Leh, this  museum is constructed by the Indian army. Next visit Spituk Gompa. A three-chapel monastery, Spituk is located at a distance of approximately 8 km from the town of Leh. Later visit Gurudwara Patthar Sahib - nestled deep in the Himalayas, was built by the Lamas of Leh in 1517 to commemorate the visit of Guru Nanak Dev. Another 4 km drive takes us to Magnetic Hill which defies the law of gravity. It has been noticed that when a vehicle is parked on neutral gear on this metallic road the vehicle slides up further. Driving through a picturesque landscape we reach the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers, 4 km before Nimmu village. Return to the hotel, dinner and stay overnight at the Hotel.

Day 7: Alchi - Lamayuru - Kargil (225kms-7hrs)
Morning after breakfast proceed towards Kargil. Enroute visit Lamayuru, the oldest Monastery of Ladakh and Moon Landscape, Enjoy breathtaking views of Fatula & Namikila  the highest passes on Leh – Srinagar road. Also visit Mulbek, Giant Living Buddha Sculpture on Rock Mountain . Reach Kargil hotel, dinner and stay overnight at the Hotel.

Day 8: Kargil - Sonamarg - Srinagar (220kms-6hrs)
After breakfast proceed to Srinagar, Enroute visit Drass Village (2nd Coldest Inhabitated place in the World), Kargil War Memorial at Drass, Kargil war Famous Peaks (Tiger, Tololing) also drive through Zojila Pass from where you can see the panoramic view of Sonmarg. Further proceed to Sonamarg (Known as Meadow of Gold), Reach Srinagar by evening. Overnight stay at the Hotel.

Day 9: Srinagar Sightseeing
After breakfast leave for boat ride to explore the Dal lake, waterways, black water, canals, floating gardens, vegetables gardens, water lilies, lotus flowers, easily mobile vendors, floating handicraft centre & inherited lifestyle inside the lake since decades. Later visit to famous Mughal Gardens Cheshma Shahi, Nishat, Shalimar laid out in the 16th century & these fall along the bank of Dal-lake in the heart of Srinagar city & Shankaracharya Temple on a hillock, thus providing panoramic view of entire city, along with famous Dal-lake & river Jehlum, After a break to the astonishing sites of Srinagar, treat yourselves by indulging in some shopping at the bustling Lal Chowk. You can purchase locally produced products, such as embroidered mats, leather goods and carpets, antique jewellery and the highly demanded Pashmina/Shahtoos shawls. Later back to the  Houseboat / Hotel Followed by a hearty dinner, enjoy a pleasurable overnight stay.

Day 10: Srinagar Departure
After having the delicious breakfast at Srinagar the queen of Valley, pack your baggages with a promise to return once again to this paradise.... Proceed on time to board your flight/train with sweet memories of your holidays. We await for your next visit ... Bon Voyage. Service ends.
